We are pleased to offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation for our electrolysis services. This session is designed to provide you with a thorough understanding of the electrolysis process and address any questions or concerns you may have.

At the brief consultation the electrologist reviews your medical history, skin type, and hair type. This is also an opportunity to discuss your treatment goals.

First 15 Minutes: You will be asked to fill out an intake form and familiarize yourself with the electrolysis process. This will help us understand your specific needs and tailor the treatment accordingly.

Next 15 Minutes: You will receive a brief electrolysis session. This allows you to experience the process firsthand, helping you to better understand what to expect during a full treatment session.

This initial consultation is a great opportunity for you to get comfortable with the process and decide if electrolysis is the right hair removal method for you.

NB: Ensure the treatment area is clean and free of oils, makeup, or lotions. You may be advised to avoid caffeine and other stimulants beforehand to minimize sensitivity.

During the Treatment

You’ll be comfortably positioned based on the area being treated. The electrologist will clean the area to prepare it for treatment. A sterile, fine probe is inserted into each hair follicle. An electrical current is then applied to destroy the hair follicle. You might feel a slight pricking sensation or warmth, but the level of discomfort varies by individual.

The treated hair is gently removed with tweezers. The hair should slide out easily if the follicle has been effectively destroyed.

The length of the session depends on the size of the area being treated and individual hair density. Sessions can range from 15 minutes to an hour or more. Multiple sessions are typically needed to achieve permanent results, as hair grows in cycles.

Post-Treatment Care

Immediate Aftercare: It’s normal to experience some redness and slight swelling in the treated area, which usually subsides within a few hours to a day.

Aftercare Instructions: You will receive specific instructions, which may include avoiding sun exposure, saunas, and vigorous exercise for 24-48 hours. Applying a soothing aloe vera gel or antibiotic ointment can help reduce irritation and prevent infection.

Avoid Touching: Refrain from touching, scratching, or picking at the treated area to prevent irritation and potential scarring.

Follow-Up Treatments: Multiple sessions are needed to treat all hair follicles effectively, as hair grows in cycles. We recommend a treatment schedule based on your individual needs.

Comfort Measures

Some people find topical anesthetic creams helpful in minimizing discomfort during treatment. Discuss this option with your electrologist beforehand.

Staying relaxed and well-hydrated can help reduce discomfort during the procedure. Consider wearing comfortable clothing and bringing a distraction, like music or a book, for longer sessions.

Remember, the effectiveness of electrolysis varies depending on individual factors such as hair type, skin type, and the area being treated. Following the recommended aftercare and treatment schedule is key to achieving the best results.

Follow-Up and Additional Sessions
